DRESS FOR OUR TIME
WORK WITH HELLEN STOREY
In collaboration with Hele Storey and UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency), we work with refugee communities in camps across Malawi and Mozambique to explore the intersection of craft, embroidery, and storytelling. Embroidery, deeply rooted in cultural tradition, serves as both a creative and economic tool, bringing communities together. Using found yarns, recycled cotton, and beads crafted from aluminum cans, we created intricate textiles—each piece telling a unique story. Also, the materials are able to be found and re-cycled in Mozambique and Malawi.
